‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ Sets HBO Max Streaming Date

Horror fans can soon tango with death yet again: “Final Destination Bloodlines” will be scaring its way into your living room on HBO Max starting Aug. 1.

Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, “Final Destination: Bloodlines” is the sixth installment in the “Final Destination” franchise. The series follows a group of people who escape their impending deaths after someone in the group receives a premonition about their doom, saving them from their grisly fate. After they are saved, they soon begin to get killed one by one in a cleverly grim manner, and they must figure out how to stop death from knocking on their door.

“Final Destination Bloodlines” follows college student Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) who begins to receive visions about an averted disaster from 1968. After being plagued by recurring nightmares, she begins to embark on a journey to track down who may be able to help her break the cycle and save her family from their deaths. “Final Destination Bloodlines” also stars Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Rya Kihlstedt, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, Gabrielle Rose, and Tony Todd in his final performance, reprising his role as William Bludworth.

“Final Destination” was created and written by Jeffrey Reddick, who originally made the franchise based off an unreleased spec script. “Final Destination Bloodlines” was produced by New Line Cinema, Practical Features, Fireside Films and Freshman Year. The film was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. “Final Destination Bloodlines” became the first film in the franchise to hit $200 million at the worldwide box office. The film surpassed $100 million during its opening weekend, making it the best opening weekend for a “Final Destination” film. The franchise has made 375.1 million at the global box office, making it the 10th highest grossing horror franchise in the United States.
