Let’s travel together.

Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel Have ‘Gilmore Girls’ Reunion at Emmys

Stars Hollow came back to Hollywood on Sunday.

During the Emmys, “Gilmore Girls” stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel presented the award for comedy writing together in honor of the show’s 25th anniversary, during which they praised their beloved series’ writers — and made fun of its low budget.

“25 years ago, a show called ‘Gilmore Girls’ premiered, and apparently took the season of fall hostage,” Graham said, referencing how the show’s fans often rewatch it annually beginning in September. Bledel added, “In spite of our autumnal dominance, ‘Gilmore was actually a very small show.”

“Meaning we had no money,” Graham clarified. “If there was a birthday at ‘The Drew Carey show’ next door, they would send us their leftover sheet cake.” Bledel concurred: “We looked hungry.”

Graham continued: “We walked in circles in Burbank saying ‘Hey, look how Connecticut it is here today!’ before Bledel explained, “We saved up all year long to have one snow episode.” Then Graham griped, “And then ‘ER’ would wet down their street and wash it all away. They had Clooney. They could’ve let us have the damn snow.”

The last time the two actors reunited on-screen was for Netflix’s revival of the series, titled “Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.” The series followed Lorelai (Graham) and Rory (Bledel) over the course of one year in Stars Hollow, with each episode corresponding to a designated season. The series ended on a cliffhanger, with Rory being revealed as pregnant.

Another “Gilmore” reunion is set to take place later this year: A new documentary titled “Searching for Stars Hollow” will take an inside look into the making of the series. Cast members including Kelly Bishop, Jared Padelecki, Keiko Agena, Chad Michael Murray, Liz Torres, Sally Struthers, Rose Abdoo, Emily Kuroda, Kathleen Wilhoite, Grant Lee Phillip and Matt Jones are set to appear in the film.

More to come…
