Fifth Season has inked a first-look film and television deal with “Long Shot” director Jonathan Levine and Gillian Bohrer’s Megamix.
The deal marks a continuation of the studio’s partnership with Levine, who executive produced and directed both seasons of the Nicole Kidman Hulu vehicle “Nine Perfect Strangers.”

Director-writer-producer Levine is best known for helming the comedy movies “Long Shot,” “50/50” and “The Night Before,” each starring Seth Rogen. The filmmaker made his feature writing and directing debut in 2008 with “The Wackness,” starring Ben Kingsley and Josh Peck. He also directed the zombie romance “Warm Bodies” and produced “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” starring Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick. On the television side, Levine directed and executive produced “Tell Me Lies” and served as an EP on “The Sticky.”
Levine will contribute across Fifth Season’s expansive film and television slate. The company’s upcoming projects include Ben Affleck’s “Animals,” Jason Momoa’s “Chief of War,” Jessica Chastain’s “The Savant,” Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy’s “The Good Daughter” and an Apple TV+ “East of Eden” adaptation with Florence Pugh and Mike Faist.
Megamix recently wrapped production on the sports drama “Mr. Irrelevant” starring David Corenswet, Michael Shannon and Isabel May. Levine will also direct “Dance Parents” with Charlize Theron and Channing Tatum.
Prior to joining Megamix, Bohrer was a senior executive at Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate, where she helped oversee “La La Land,” “The Twilight Saga,” “Wonder” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”
