Body Found in Impounded Tesla Registered to Singer D4vd
A body has been found inside an impounded Tesla registered to singer D4vd at a tow yard in Hollywood.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the circumstances around the body, which was discovered in a Tesla. Officers were called to the tow yard on Monday afternoon following reports of a foul odor coming from the car, which had been on the property for several days. Police found a body that had been placed inside of a bag in the front trunk of the vehicle. The identity of the body is currently unknown and the case is now a death investigation.
ABC 7 confirmed that the 2023 Tesla is registered to D4vd in Hempstead, Texas. Representatives for D4vd did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
The 20-year-old musician, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is best known for viral singles “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” which have separately amassed more than 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. The singer recently kicked off his “Withered” world tour early last month in support of his debut album of the same name. He is currently scheduled to perform tonight in Minneapolis before wrapping the North American leg in Los Angeles on Sept. 20.
Last week, D4vd announced a partnership with Epic Games to release Fortnite’s first-ever official anthem, “Locked & Loaded (Official Fortnite Anthem),” which dropped in tandem with the announcement. It made its in-game debut in the Fortnite Shop as part of the official Fortnite Global Championship Series (FNCS) Emote and Jam Track.
