Colour Yellow, Bhanushali Studios Kick Off Slate With ‘Tu Yaa Main’
India’s Colour Yellow and Bhanushali Studios Limited are launching a slate of multiple films with their first collaboration, “Tu Yaa Main,” a high-concept thriller that the filmmakers are positioning as the “ultimate date fright film.”
The project pairs Adarsh Gourav (“The White Tiger,” “Superboys of Malegaon”) with Shanaya Kapoor (“Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan”) in a genre-defying narrative that blends romance with survival thriller elements. Bejoy Nambiar directs the film. Set against a backdrop of music, madness and raw unpredictability of nature, the film follows a meet-cute that spirals into a survival thriller.
The collaboration marks a creative alliance between filmmaker Aanand L. Rai‘s Colour Yellow and Vinod Bhanushali’s Bhanushali Studios Limited (BSL), with both companies committing to a slate of films that champion new voices and genre-defying storytelling designed for big screen experiences. “Tu Yaa Main” kicks off this multi-picture partnership.
Producers include Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Vinod Bhanushali and Kamlesh Bhanushali. The combination aims to blend Rai and Sharma’s rooted human drama sensibilities with Nambiar’s signature stylish grit.
Rai’s Colour Yellow has previously delivered critically acclaimed titles including “Tumbbad,” “Newton,” “Haseen Dillruba” and “Raanjhanaa.” The banner continues expanding its slate with upcoming releases.
BSL, helmed by founder and producer Vinod Bhanushali, scored big with “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai,” which nabbed five trophies at the Filmfare OTT (streaming) Awards, including best web original film. The company recently struck a three-film deal with Hansal Mehta’s True Story Films and a five-film deal with Warner Bros. Pictures. Its slate includes “Janhit Mein Jaari,” “Main Atal Hoon,” “Costao,” “Bhaiyya Ji,” and “Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam,” spanning both theatrical and streaming releases.
“With every film, we want to stretch the boundaries of what stories can feel like. ‘Tu Yaa Main’ is a bold and surprising new step in that direction,” said Rai. “I’m excited to begin this collaboration with Bhanushali Studios, who share our belief in discovering the unexpected.”
Vinod Bhanushali of Bhanushali Studios Limited added: “At the heart of everything we do is the desire to tell stories that truly move people. This partnership with Colour Yellow is built on a shared passion for creative risk and meaningful content. With ‘Tu Yaa Main,’ we’re diving into something exhilarating, emotional, and exceptionally bold.”
“Tu Yaa Main” is targeting a Valentine’s Day 2026 theatrical release.
